AlexaRank is a measure of website popularity by comparing a site with all sites on the Internet. The calculation of Alexa rank is done by combining the visitor average of a site per day and number of pages a website opened by the visitor. Alexa Rank 1 is the highest level of alexa, meaning that the smaller rank is the higher rank. In the other words, alexa rank is the reverse order from PageRank.

The usage of Alexa rank is not too much different from PageRank, which is aimed more to the online businessmen who are looking for money via internet.it’s Because
the sites which offer money on the internet, such as text link ads, Sponsored Reviews, ReviewMe, web-ask2link and the others money maker website determine alexa rank as one of the measurement.
The higher Alexa rank you get, the more advertiser will consider your blog to be installed by his ads. it means, more dollar there will be in your pocket.

The way to increase your Alexa blog rank is almost similar with PageRank, the additions are below.

  1. Create a post about Alexa Ranking.
  2. Download the plugin (add-on) Alexa for your web browser or well known as “Sparky” in http://www.alexa.com/toolbar. This one makes it easier to Alexa.com to detect the existence of your blog and also, the traffic.
  3. Put in the Alexa Rank widget in your blog, way below.
  • visit the site, Alexa.com.
  • click “For Site Owner“.
  • Click “Site Widgets” on the menu, and then select the form of a widget that will be displayed (usually the second widget).
  • Enter the complete address of your blog and click “Build Widgets”.
  • Then, there will be appeared 3 scripts again. Choose the script you will install in your blog.
